Which Home Cinema Screen Is Right For Me?

Home Cinema Projector Screen Type

All the Projector Screens in this range have been selected for Home Cinema useage. They are all 16:9 viewing area, which is perfectly sized to match full HD projector image, which most home cinema projectors will have as their native resolution (1080p).

We offer Electrically operated home cinema projector screens which can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. They are operated electronically via Infra-Red or Radio-frequency remote controls, and you can even upgrade to include a trigger kit so that when you turn on your Projector, your screen will drop down automatically in sync.

The next step up is to opt for the Tab Tensoned home cinema screen range. These screens are also electrically operated as above, but also offer the benefit of a wire tensioning system down the vertical edges of the screen to ensure the viewing surface is pulled flat to optimise the projected image. Extremely popular for home cinema viewing, and particularly useful on larger screens that are left in the down position, as it helps to stop screen curl at the edges.

If you want to keep your home cinema projector screen as descreet as possible, the in-ceiling recessed home cinema projector screens will be the ones for you. These projector screens are designed to be fitted into a recess in a finished or suspended ceiling for a professional and streamlined finish. Once fitted the projector screen will be almost completely hidden from view.

If you are lucky enough to have enough space to have a dedicated home cinema room, check out the range of Fixed Frame home cCinema projector screens. These screens are an excellent option for a dedicated home cinema room as they are designed to be permanently visible even when not in use. The projection area is surrounded by an attractive thick black textured border on all sides. They have a tension system built in to ensure the surface is kept perfectly flat.

Which Size Home Cinema Screen to Choose

When it comes to choosing the right size screen for your home cinema setting, you need to think about which size screen will best fit in your location.

As well as looking at the overall projector screen width (commonly shown in meters - for example, 2.0m wide), you also need to look at the viewing area dimension and the case dimension. The Viewing Area is the blank white space between the black borders. This is the dimension that the actual projected picture will be. This is often shown in millimetres or diagonal inches. The case that the screen is housed in, is often quite a bit wider than the screen fabric itself. Therefore you do need to check that this case dimension will fit where you want to mount the projector screen. Especially if you are looking to mount the projector into a small space or an alcove.

Check your projector throw distance. If the projector s sited in a fixed place, often the size of the projector screen will be dictated by the size of image that the projector can generate at a particular dstance.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Screen?
