EuroKey Recycling - Video Conferencing Rooms

The Client and The Challenge

Eurokey is an international circular economy specialist that builds sustainability ‘Loops’ that create circular opportunities for business. They offer recyclable sorting, recycling equipment and closed-loop recycling turning plastic packaging back into products for supermarkets.

Their vision is a waste-free world where resources are conserved, and economic growth is achieved through sustainable circular means.

Eurokey first contacted us via our website to look at AV options for their meeting room. They wanted some new equipment to work seamlessly with exiting equipment in the room. The customer had done their research and asked us to supply and fit specific kit.

We arranged for our engineer to carry out a site visit to take a look at the room and the existing equipment, the engineer took the opportunity to discuss what the customer wanted to achieve with the room and how it was to be used.

The Proposal

The existing set-up was a large format display on a trolley to which the customer connected his laptop for Teams meetings and a Logitech Rally Bar, an all-in-one video bar with a webcam and built-in microphones.

Following the site visit we quoted the customer some extra Logitech products to enhance the user experience, and to simplify virtual meeting. Instead of having to pull out the screen to connect HDMI every time there was a meeting, it would all be done wirelessly.

We suggested adding the Logitech Tap and Rally Mic Pods alongside the Rally Bar.

Logitech Tap - a meeting space controller that is designed to manage your video conferences easily. It allows you to join meetings at the touch of a button and also enables you to share content both via HDMI and wirelessly.

Logitech Rally Mic Pod - This enhances the sound quality of your conference calls, we suggested that an extra microphone be added to the system to sit in the middle of the large boardroom table.

We also advised EuroKey that they wouldn't need a piece of equipment that they requested as it was costly and wouldn't add any extra functionality.

The Installation

Everything ran smoothly on the day. The install team had to run cables from the floor box up to the existing input plate on the wall where the screen was to be mounted.

This process was greatly helped by an existing cable rod which sped up the installation process.
